Presentation
In 2018 the ESCADA project started. This project is funded by the European Commission and dedicated to the investigation of permutation-based cryptography. In October 2024 it will end after running for 6 years. In the Digital Security group at Radboud University, we have used the ESCADA name to indicate the people in the team doing research on symmetric cryptography, supervised by Bart Mennink and Joan Daemen. This workshop will mark the end of the ESCADA project, not that of the ESCADA team. It is a workshop with attendance upon invitation, with contributed talks on all aspects of permutation-based cryptography, a discussion session and plenty of occasion for interaction.
